On wednesday 25-02-2009 i departed from Perth, The Witches Hat for a drive to Margaret River, Surfpoint Resort. The drive wasn't as nice as the one to Dongara, i wish i saved the north of Australia for the last. But nice to be on the road again. I filmed the whole drive of 300kms long, to make a timelapse video. To bad that it was a bit rainy, but nice to watch anyway.
Once arrived, i also drove about 70kms around in the neighbourhood. Nice to see all the things there. There were a few parking lots with view on the ocean what was very nice to see. Then i drove a bit trough the city of Margaret River, there was a piece of unsealed land with electricy poles running trough. I drove trough there for a bit of advanture and on the right hand side there was a small bushroad trough some forest. After 3kms on that road there was a big gap in the ground of 30-40cms deep wich i could never drive trough, so i could drive back the whole 3kms in reverse. Luckily i managed to turn around on the bushroad by going about 10 times forwards and backwards. Once i was back on the unsealed land, i saw two kangaroo's on 500 meters distance watching me. Too bad that i only had my phone camera with me, the 20x zoom of my good camera wich i left at the hostel could have done a good job here.
